How to Invest in Yourself for Free

Posted by: nancysoffice on: October 24, 2008

Invest your time in self learning online for free. You will not receive a degree nor a certificate the free online courses is basic knowledge for you to know. To have basic knowledge of a subject that you know nothing about and you are willing to learn it; is a very good thing, because then you can converse or write about the subject that you have learn to your colleagues or readers.

Everyday is a learning experience and if you can expand your mind to more knowledge, why not? I’ve learned various business courses online and I’m currently enroll in a few more courses one of them is called “Start-Up Basics for the First-Time Entrepreneur“. I’ve taken this course before about two years ago, but this particular one is up-to-date it’s basically a refresher course for me and the other courses are non-related to business, all for free. One of the non-related courses is digital photograhy, which I love. Once I feel comfortable in taking pictures I may incorporate this into my business, but for now I’m experimenting on taking pictures for my home.

Follow the link below for simple steps to get you going…

Dark, dull, and yellow nails can be caused by various reasons such as smoking, nail polish and/or not enough nutrients. Hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar, denture tablet or Castor oil are a few of the ingredients you can use to have stain free nails.

To avoid discolorations start using a clear nail polish as your base coat. The proper nutrients in your body is essential Vitamin A helps in nail growth and Vitamin B2 promotes healthy nails. First, consult with your doctor before taking any type of vitamins. Definitely, if you can’t stop then try to smoke less.

How to submit a writing sample?

Posted by: nancysoffice on: October 3, 2008

There are many writing jobs online and it’s tempting to apply as soon as you see it, but I urge you to be very careful when submitting a writing sample. We have many scammers out there in the virtual world. Submitting a writing sample without knowing the individual nor the company is probably your loss. They may have kept it and used it without you knowing.

Sofrito

Posted by: nancysoffice on: September 18, 2008

Sofrito is a mix of spices and vegetables, which is sautéed in many Caribbean, Spanish, and Latin American dishes. There are many different versions of making sofrito the basics are green and red peppers, onions, garlic, cilantro (Cilantro), recao (Recao), and ajises (Ajises). You can create your own sofrito or add your own seasonings including the basics I’ve mentioned. Be creative and experiment.

Growing up I remember the aroma of sofrito throughout the house it smelled so good. My mother added her sofrito in her chicken and/or beef stew, rice and she used it as a marinade for her meats, as well. The taste was from out of this world, delicious. She blended all her spices in a blender until it was puree, not smooth. She’ll pour the sofrito in a jar and store it in the refrigerator any leftovers she would pour it in plastic containers and put it in the freezer. When the one from the refrigerator was finished then she would take out one container from the freezer and store it in the refrigerator.

I recommend the sofrito recipe for busy people it beats from cutting up your spices and vegetables everyday for dinner. It is simple and not time consuming. Take it out the container from the refrigerator, scoop up about the 3 tablespoons of it, and add to your pot while cooking. You can use more if you want it’s entirely up to you, but don’t over empower the flavor add little by little to taste.

Just a reminder, once you use all the sofrito that is in the refrigerator; take one container out from the freezer and store it in the refrigerator. It will be thaw out and ready for the next day.

Here is my version on how to make Sofrito? Sofrito

Here is a basic summary on how it works, first if you don’t have it install already you need to install Itunes and Quick time player into your computer. Next, download a software converter; open the converter upload a video; and then convert to ipod format. How to save my rose bushes from dying?

Posted by: nancysoffice on: August 8, 2008

Help!!! My rose bushes are dying. In early spring I had the landscaper re-do my backyard and lawn. I wanted the rose bushes transfer from the front lawn to the backyard. Of course, the landscaper did not follow my directions; I noticed the landscaper pulled out the rose bushes and instead of him planting the rose bushes in the backyard; he laid them on the patio for days.
